The three-year-old has will be looking to claim his fourth unbeaten race of the autumn, after winning all three of his previous starts this campaign.

Pierro won his last start in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes ahead of King Mufhasa and Shoot Out two weeks ago.

The 2013 Doncaster Handicap could well mare Pierro’s final run before he embarks on a lucrative stud career.

However, owner Greg Kolivos is yet to make any final decisions concerning Pierro’s retirement.

“There has been interest in him from studs since he was a two-year-old,” Kolivos said.

“I don’t know whether a Doncaster win makes him more valuable.

“I’ll find out in time. The pure monetary aspect isn’t the critical thing.

“If it was we would have sold him ten times over in the last year. That’s not to say we’re ignorant of how valuable he is.”

Norzita is currently second favourite to win the 2013 Doncaster Mile at, while third favourite Appearance is paying odds of $12.
