Sacred Falls has won each of the last two editions of the Doncaster Mile but has been charged with carrying a race-high 58kgs and will leave from the wide and awkward barrier 20.

Beginning his racing career in his native New Zealand before transferring to the care of Chris Waller, Sacred Fall is a four-time Group 1 winner, interesting all claimed over a mile.

Posting a commendable race record of nine wins and a further three minor place finishes through his 26 career starts to date, the O’reilly gelding progressed to a close second in the major Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m) following his second Doncaster Mile victory last year; securing a maiden spring Group 1 victory in the George Main Stakes (1600m) in late September.

Fan favourite Happy Trails has returned to racing in typically competitive form this season and is offered a great chance of returning to the winner’s circle in the 2015 Doncaster Mile from barrier 2.

Running second in the Group 1 Underwood Stakes (2000m) and winning a third Group 1 title in the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) most notably through spring, the Good Journey gelding ran sixth in the Group 1 CF Orr Stakes (1400m) first-up this time; progressing to a close second in the Group 2 Peter Young Stakes (1800m) in his only other start prior to his most recent third in the Group 1 Australian Cup (2000m).

Talented Japanese runners Real Impact and World Ace have figured towards the top of early Doncaster Mile betting markets since being confirmed for a trip to Australia, and are tasked with leaving from barrier 21 and 16 respectively.

Posting five wins and a further six minor place finishes over his 26 start career so far, Real Impact stamped his claims as a serious Doncaster Mile contestant when debuting in Australia for victory in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) on March 21st.

While unable to make much of an impact when eleventh in the George Ryder first-up, World Ace finished fourth in the Group 1 Hong Kong Mile in December and is more than capable of competing under the Doncaster Mile conditions.

Two-time Group 1 winner Hallowed Crown has been confirmed in the 2015 Doncaster Mile final field and will jump from barrier 23, while fellow three-year-olds Sweynesse (barrier 7) and Kermadec (barrier 19) have been confirmed amongst the race’s four emergencies.

Hallowed Crown stormed home to win the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m) most notably in spring and returned for consecutive victories amongst talented company in the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) and Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) this time.

Running on for a commendable third in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) a fortnight ago, trainer James Cummings is confident the Street Sense colt will not be affected in the step back in distance this weekend.

Queensland raider Rudy gained ballot-free entry into the 2015 Doncaster Mile after taking out the Group 2 Villiers Stakes (1600m) over summer and will leave from the ideal barrier 6, while last week’s winner of the Group 3 Doncaster Prelude (1500m) Pornichet is tasked with a harder start from the somewhat awkward barrier 13.

In-form mare Suavito broke through for a maiden victory at the highest level in this year’s edition of the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m) and will leave from the rails draw, while emergency runner Malavio was allocated the outside gate 24.
