Talented three-year-old Hallowed Crown ($5.50) has been charged with carrying just 52kgs this weekend and as a result maintains status as sole occupant of the top line of 2015 Doncaster Mile betting ahead of emergency runner Kermadec ($6.50) and Real Impact ($7) with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

With Hallowed Crown justify favouritism and win the 2015 Doncaster Mile, or will one of his talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Real Impact ($7)

Japanese raider Real Impact will have to overcome a wide draw in the 2015 Doncaster Mile, but is a proven performer in Australia and over the distance and offers punters exceptional value at current $7 odds for success. Posting five wins and a further six minor place finishes through his 26 competitive starts, the Deep Impact entire booked his ticket to The Championships when overcoming a talented field to win the Group 2 Hanshin Cup (1400m) on December 27th. Having debuted in Australian for an exceptional win in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) a fortnight ago, jockey James McDonald has been confirmed to retain the ride on Real Impact this weekend.

2nd

Sacred Falls ($16)

Sacred Falls has won the two most recent editions of the Doncaster Mile, and while charged with overcoming an awkward barrier, is sure to lay a great account for himself on Saturday. Having won a total of four Group 1 feature races, all over a mile, the son of O’reilly placed a credible fifth in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m) first-up on March 7th but was unlucky to be blocked for a run and checked late in the George Ryder. Confirmed to be partnered by leading jockey Zac Purton, punters may find value in adding Sacred Falls as a selection in a Doncaster Mile quinella or trifecta bet.

3rd

Suavito ($17)

Talented mare Suavito has returned to racing in career-best form this time, will carry just 50.5kgs and will leave from the rails draw in the 2015 Doncaster Mile and is more than capable of a competitive performance. Ending a strong spring preparation with consecutive wins in the Group 3 Eliza Park International Stakes (1600m) and Group 2 Momentum Energy Stakes (2000m), the Thorn Park mare broke through for a maiden victory at the highest level in the Group 1 Futurity Stakes (1400m) first-up this time before repeating the dose in the Group 2 Blamey Stakes (1600m) on March 14th.
