Winx has returned to racing in typically slick form this time and remains clear $1.90 favourite in 2016 Doncaster Mile betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Capping a standout autumn and winter preparation with a maiden win at the highest level in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks (2200m), Winx resumed in spring for success in the Group 2 Theo Marks Stakes (1300m) and Group 1 Epsom Handicap (1600m) before delivering a particularly classy field a resounding defeat in the Group 1 Cox Plate (2040m).

Returning this time for success in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m), the Street Cry mare is seeking a third-consecutive win at the highest level having taken out each of the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) and Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m) most recently.

Hugh Bowman understandably retains the ride on Winx in the Doncaster Mile, who will leave from barrier 11.

Interestingly figuring as the only other runner currently available at 2016 Doncaster Mile odds of less-than $10, Kermadec ($7.50) has found good form leading into Saturday’s feature and should lay a great account for himself from barrier 3.

Capping a breakout 2015 autumn campaign with success in the Doncaster Mile, Kermadec resumed in spring for a credible fifth in the talent-rich Group 2 Warwick Stakes (1200m).

Having clearly taken improvement from the run when savaging the line for second in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m), the Teofilo entire returned to winning form with an impressive late performance in the Group 1 George Main Stakes (1600m) on September 19th.

Resuming this time for third in the Group 1 Canterbury Stakes (1300m), Kermadec charged home to place second in the George Ryder Stakes a fortnight ago.

Happy Clapper gained ballot-free entry into the Doncaster Mile with success in the Group 2 Villiers Stakes (1600m) in December and remains third-favourite for success at generous $11 odds.

The stable star for Randwick-based trainer Pat Webster, Happy Clapper has posted six wins and a further four minors through only fourteen career starts.

Resuming in spring for success in the talent-rich Road Tech Marine (1200m), Happy Clapper progressed to another comfortable win in the Bedford CA BM85 (1500m) a fortnight prior to his Villiers Stakes triumph.

Having run fourth in the Canterbury Stakes and fifth in the George Ryder, Happy Clapper will relish a return to a mile on Day 1 of The Championships, will leave from the central barrier 8 and will carry only 50.5kgs.
